Adding a hermit crab as a pet can be fun and easy as they are easy to care for due to their simple easily available diet. Hermit crabs eat both plant and animal matter if they are in the wild.

In captivity, these animals should be fed fresh foods and treats along with balanced commercial supplements that help them get enough nutrients. This article contains some healthy foods that you can give your hermit crabs.

1. Mango

Mango consists of natural sugars along with vitamins that help to hydrate hermit crabs and also make it a nutritious treat. It is better to give them fresh mangoes as dried or processed mangoes may have added sugars that may cause harm to them.
