16 Foods You Can Give After Dog Vomits

Vomiting is the process of your dog forcefully throwing up the substances in its stomach through its mouth. It can be caused by various reasons and their body condition.

Because during vomiting the muscles of their stomach contract and the food pipe will not be functioning properly, you need to be considerate while giving them food to eat after that. It is always good to offer them bland and easily digestible foods after they have thrown up.


1. Boiled Chicken

Boiled chicken is often recommended to give to the dogs after they vomit because it is gentle to the stomach and easy to digest. It is plain without any added fats, oils, or other spices which makes it easier for their stomach to handle the food.

It is also a good source of protein and low in fat which does not put stress on their stomach. For this, you can use boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs and boil them for around 15 to 20 minutes without any spices or additional ingredients.

2. White Rice

White rice is easily digestible, low in fiber, and a good source of energy it is often recommended to be given to the dogs after vomiting. It is bland and easy on the stomach and provides carbohydrates which can give them energy to recover.
